Fred Magenheimer's Bio

Fred Magenheimer is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama has had an extensive career in sales, marketing and business management.

He has been President of Herculite Products, and served on the Boards of HealthChem Corporation, The Industrial Fabric Association, and the International Sleep Products Association.

He was led to participate in Mental Health Advocacy by joining his son Jeff on his journey with Mental Illness. Fred has served as a Board Chair, Treasurer and Board member of Mental Health America Los Angeles (MHALA), an Advisory Board member of the MHA Village, and the Board of the Long Beach chapter of NAMI where he was President, Treasurer, and newsletter editor.

He was also a Board member of NAMI LA County Council. He was a nominee for Outstanding Family Advocate, Los Angeles County, 2011.
