Soledad Ego-Aguirre | Project Return Peer Support Network

Sole Ego-Aguirre is Program Manager for El Centrito de Apoyo and Un Paso Mas. Sole has worked in social services for twenty six years at a variety of organizations including El Nido Family Center, Bienvenido Foster Family Centers, and El Centro Human Services.

She enjoys working for PRPSN because she appreciates the scope of services offered and finds it gratifying to work with similar conditions.

For Sole peer support means the process of giving attention and assistance to an individual who needs support, by providing listening, sharing our story, and providing resources like support groups, etc. The values that drive her work are equality and mutuality because caring for the mental health of others helps us all have a better quality of life. In her free time, Sol likes to read, listen to Christian music, walk and do activities with my son and three grandchildren, and go out to eat with friends and family.

Her favorite quote is, “Nunca te olvides de donde vinistes” or “Never forget where you came from.” –Sole’s Dad and hero.
