Ian Bohannon, a graduate of UCLA’s MSW program, currently serves as a clinician for the LA County Department of Mental Health, with a specialization in crisis intervention and school threat assessment. In this role, he applies a recovery-oriented perspective as a practitioner with lived experience and a multiethnic background, and advocates for personal empowerment in balance with the needs of the public and individual safety.
His commitment to the recovery model has been demonstrated through his prior work as a member of Mental Health America of Los Angeles’s Board of Directors from 2011-2017, and as a proud graduate of their Jump Start Fellowship program.
